lots of cool sounds and noises and textures! i think the intro works fine since the song as a whole is pretty progressive from point A to B to C etc.

came up with it while I was trying to copy that slightly detuned pluck sound in kirby by transcribing and then changed up the harmonies. are pastiches like that alright on here or is it frowned upon?
trying to emulate a games sound aesthetic is very much how I learn and sometimes write tunes. always trying to take it to a place of my own, but I suppose the inspirations are noticeable haha

the length of the intro made it feel like a piece with two movements to me

I also thought the intro was not too long -- I enjoyed the whole journey! The detuned sound in the b section is chef's kiss!

i really like the places this goes
