i didn't cheat, the rules appeared to me to say ' dont use any samples that aren't from the sample pack' . To me this meant a softsynth was ok to use, in hindsight I guess this thought was a bit brainless.

using granular synthesis too ( which still hasn't been confirmed to be acceptable means of sample manipulation )

... i'd be happier to be disqualified than getting meaningless votes.
