it's so pretty and yet bittersweet. reading the description of it. I can only imagine how beautiful this image looks like to you who has the emotional link to it
Ducks are amazing, aren't they? They can swim, they can walk on land and they can fly! It must be awesome to be a duck...
So, here we have three of them, each with a different appearance. Gathered together, forming an invisible shape of a triangle.
(not forgetting the three turtles and the little fish here, who help the photo look more lively, I think)
This photo was taken in 2011 in a park nearby. But after moving back to this area and visiting the park again, twelve years later, there are no ducks to be seen anymore. I wonder what happened. Haven't asked around yet.
Although I could go on a photo adventure for this battle as suggested, this one has a higher sentimental value to me than any other I could take today, because it was taken while I was hanging out with my sister, who passed away in 2021. I miss so many things about her. She had a big smile, was incredibly talented and intelligent. Her hearty laughs were funnier than any of the jokes that were being told. You were gone way too soon, sis. You deserved better.
Sorry for bringing this up publicly and unexpectedly. My description for this entry has a narrative thread to it, and sometimes this means mixing in info that can be disturbing, depressing, frustrating, etc. As important as it is to reflect on losses, however, time marches on.
I didn't edit the photo at all. Just like nature itself, I thought it was best to just let it be what it is.
