The elf quietly works away at his desk, void of feeling, not really knowing why he's doing this. He pushes the red key labeled "Naughty" each time a new face pops up on the screen. The hours stretch on ad finitum, faces blur. He stops to steal a glance above the cubicle wall, and at that moment the big man walks into the room. He quietly ducks and resumes work. He hears the muffled sounds of boots approaching. He can't explain why, he knows but he must not draw attention. A bead of sweat runs down his face.
