As a notice for folks, the map IS vanilla-compatible, but there's a small bug in the wad structure that's preventing it from being loaded with -file (a goofy technical vanilla-Doomism that's hard to explain). Chocolate Doom provides an alternative wad load command, -merge, which lets you load it though (e.g. "chocolate-doom -merge theplace.wad" or whatnot). It's easy to fix -file though; just need to rename an entry in the wad. :P

Here's a bugfixed version until Sir Dwere-person fixes it:

Good heavens, it feels like I've got a piece of Half-Life in my Doom II! Or Redneck Rampage, since it also does use linedef tree textures, whatever.

Wow, this looks great! I was blown away upon looking around the first room, and I love the rest of the texture use.
...Unfortunately, I felt that the gameplay kinda dragged, and in spite of what I said before, a lot of the textures are very brown and alleyway-like. But you have my vote for winner!

100%/94%/100% in 8:48 on UV.

the environments were GREAT. i think this is a map that really could have benefited from custom music. UV difficulty could have been much more challenging though.

I appreciate the outside areas with shadows casting on the ground and stuff. Really nice lighting and elevations contrasting indoors and outdoors. Good jorb!!!
