The Chip Del-Champs caught on tape during rehearsals for their first album, April 15, 1968. Here, they are attempting to construct what would become the million-selling hit "The Quest For Cool". It's interesting to note that their producer at the time, Allen Parsnips, went on to greater fame as a sound designer. Note his clever use of Echoplex tape delay.
