once again the voting categories are up to change

you have to write a story with multiple outcomes using a text file!
multiple choices can be done by refering to specific lines
also ascii art is encouraged of course

to make things easier you could use tic80, but you must only use text and basic input with commands

format: plain text, tic80, html5
(With any of the formats that do more than plaintext, only text is allowed)

voting categories:
ascii / choice / writing / adventure in pants / zork in pants

(please tell me if this has already been done before :P)

Very excited about this!

It's worth considering that editing a text adventure in plaintext might be a pain (in particular, if player choices refer to line numbers, any line you add to the document will push all the following lines forward and screw up the "go to line XX" references).

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try it!

i would've done like a python thing but there isn't any format to this :P
@Lasertooth

a solution to this would be to plan out the whole thing in a seperate more easy to work with doc format and then come back and deal with all the plaintext

this is so dope
this NEEDS to be real I begggg

also about the line number stuff
you could, theoretically, use tic80, with the limit that it has to still be text adventure like (so like no really animated stuff)
[also tic80 has python support]

methinks html5 would be more conducive to this sort of thing - mainly because in plaintext you'd have to leave a bunch of open space between parts to not get spoiled about other adventure paths... rather than line numbers though you could just create labels like "section A" or made-up page numbers and Ctrl+F your way there

still html5 would be easiest! bespoke pages for everything and can even be generated by something like Twine

@damifortune
SRB2er suggested a thing like that with the TIC-80 but sure i'll also add HTML5
