ok yeah i know its not industrial but shut up i used half life 1 crowbar sfx!!! so all must be forgiven
in all seriousness though
trying to write for different genres seem to be my weak point
however.. i didnt make this song trying to meet your industrial expectations (cling clang boom bang)
i tried to go for the experimentality of industrial music, stuff like:
- odd time signatures (15/16)
- key changes
- locrian scale
- extended chords over constant bass (that shouldnt go together)
i still tried to do cling clangs but ultimately i failed i think
so i apologize for not cling clanging all over the place ));

The percussion brings that crunchy machinery sound, for sure, the bass has its moments too - I wanna say it's mostly the lead solos and the chord progressions that depart from what I'd expect from the genre.

Really wild and exciting Famitracker tune! But yes, the continuum of industrial music is not 'experimental' in the same way that progressive rock is - that's the issue here. I still have to give props for the chops though. :)

It's really cool how you managed to translate industrial noises into chiptune. I think the cling clangs definitely come through and the bass is very gritty. The bright leads are very pretty, but they definitely take away from the industrialness of the song... but I do appreciate the proginess of it! :D
