Composition made in MIDI, then transcribed into Furnace Tracker. Painful, but the only way for me to do anything in Furnace for the moment (it's still not enough far into my comfort zone yet to make me feel inspired to go and make music with it lol)

Dunno also why .vgm says multiple systems, but it is just YM2612 and SN76489 at PAL-rate, so it should work on MegaDrive/Genesis.

you mean "multi-system" from Furnace tracker, at SongInformation:System window/field? you can edit that! :)

Hey nice! But if you hand transcribed back into furnace, why the need to compose in midi in the first place?

I haven't thought much of that actually - I'm kinda testing techniques.

I'm still learning how Furnace works and my inspiration and ideas in the moment are in some cases like a shortlived trail from empty canvas to finished track. If I hang up on something I don't understand for too long, I lose my trail and the track doesn't get finished (in some cases if the inspiration comes back in like a day, I may be able to continue from where I left). So I kinda used whatever easy composition method to get a good "blueprint" to transcribe/remix, this time it happened to be MIDI.

But also I think because of compsosing mindset - MIDI is quite different than tracking, and I may get ideas that I otherwise wouldn't get when I'm tracking.

Ahhh that makes sense. So it's like a workflow thing for now, at least until you get more familiar with furnace. That's smart!
