i have a suggestion to improve your entry while you still have time!
maybe you could use a recording of calm river waters instead of a splash on the shore. you'd save a lot on frames AND have a continuous gif. if the recording manages to capture clearly the glimmer of the water surface, you could also rise the contrast or something to make it look a bit dreamier. theres a effect in ezgif called Lomo (i use it on my current monkey pfp) which does that!
