Like Icarus, I flew too close to the sun with this effort. I originally wanted to do character animations, but it was clear I didn't have time to do what I wanted. So I changed things up and went with an animated background and a still image in the foreground.

I had to reach into my limited bag of tricks for that, too. For example, the text is from repurposed sega genesis code I had been working on in C. I used it for the sinewave text effect by creating a new image (the text) and a new program, turned that into a gif, and sort of merged it with the image.
