I wanted to create a tune that captures the feel and style of the 90s-2000s era shmup OSTs. At the same time, I also kept the concept of an anime girl flying high through a beautiful city nightscape close to my mind as I put everything all together.

This was done using the Yamaha YMF262 (OPL3) and YMZ280B (PCMD8).
Programmed in Furnace.

This is such a really amazing track :3, like outright masterclass stuff. Also OPL3+PCM stuff makes me wonder about an alternative reality where during the early and mid 90s music developers and coders actually cared about OPL instead of just slapping MIDI drivers.

this is amazing! it combines so well with the 80s and 90s it goes very well with the atmosphere of ghost in the sheel.

insane.
for some reason it gives me disgaea 2 item world vibes.
I haven't played that game in years, but the whole being in a void on a floating platform thing just feels right. kinda like being in battlefield in melee.
definitely gonna be listening to this one a lot!
