Hmm. Hard to tell if this is metal or not. Still a pretty cool tune if you ask me though.

i was sitting on what i thought of this track for a couple days but coming back to it i definitely enjoy what's going on here

the choice of sounds i think is questionable but the writing is solid

whether something is "metal" or not is up to whoever listens to it but for me it's definitely within some sort of subset there

First off, this is bad ass Melon!! Second, I disagree completely that this is 'questionably metal'. While the instruments aren't shredding guitars, they are certainly fine representations, and the composition has some very strong progressive and speed metal vibes throughout. The drums are thrashy, lots of metal leads (idk what other genre has that style of minor shredding), and the rhythms were standard thrash/punk riffs. This is as metal (or more so) than the first couple NES castlevania games, and it's good! That last section at 2:30 is the only non metal sounding part. Also strange inaudible vocal samples XD
