I thought that going to music school would help me compose better, instead I think i'm regressing. All day long studying the same scales, arpeggios, chords, it's become disheartening. When will I be allowed to make what I want to make?

thx to m9m for rendering :), my computer is a butt

I must say that I find "art schools" in general to be quite useless sadly. It's a great springboard for learning some techniques but otherwise it's rather moot imo. If you are passionate about something you will find your "path" on your own and that is not a thing that can be taught. It is ofc great to discuss and inspire eachother as a community and meet ppl with similar interests etc. I guess what I am trying to say is: Don't listen too much to some "d-bag teacher know it all" and get with your own program instead.

Sorry for my incoherent and pretentious rambling. Hope you understand what I'm saying though?! Cheers!
