Not really a Spring-adjacent track, i know. Still I'm happy that i finally managed to submit my first track ever on BOTB after two years in my musical journey.
This song is pretty much video-game adjacent, like something that would fit in a 90s Japanese action-shooter game. I'm happy of how this came out to be

Always love that heavy slap presence in 90s arcade themes. Just makes you feel right at home thinking of any uptempo title. Among many other things, really enjoy those arps around :50, plus all done *just* with Sega PCM?! Nice work!

I mean SegaPCM actually has 16 channels, instead of only 5. Deflemask intentionally nerfed the chip's implementation for some reason :/. Also it has that infamous sample banking bullshit going on.
Furnace implements that chip on it's full potential without any additional problems, allowing this stuff to be possible.

Oh yeah I've read about that whole ordeal lol -- my point was even more to just finding the right samples and getting them to sound consistently clean using the Sega PCM. Feel like they takes a lot of prep work bouncing samples at different pitches. If you're just entering them chromatically into Furnace then it's even crazier how well the quality holds up!
