You are the superhero known as SICK JUMPS MAN, master of getting really sick jumps on a bike. But you've been presented with a new challenge: make really sick jumps... in space.

With your trusty BIKE being promoted to a SPACE BIKE, you now have to SICK JUMP your way through space, because in space, in order to survive, you need AIR.

Click/tap the canvas to enter into full screen. Also, if you have a phone, don't play this in portrait, it make it limp slowly and portrait sucks arse.

Controls - desktop (or phone with mouse plugged in):
- Mouse left/right: Move sideways
- Mouse press: Crouch for jump

Fun facts:

This game will fit on a DS/DD floppy disk. Of course, your browser won't, but this will. Thanks to data URIs, you only need one file. Neat, eh?

There are 100,000 stars rendered screen at once. My Xcover 3 can still get 60fps even with that many stars, although some level-of-detail had to be employed. In reality though, you see less than half of the stars as the stars wrap around and put you in the centre of it all.

The stars are made of 3 triangles. To implement LoD, the low-detail stars just had the stride multiplied by 3, so those stars are made from one triangle.

The star VBO is completely static. All animation and world wrapping is done in the shader. LoD, on the other hand, is not.

Due to the lack of air in space, you don't really lose your warmth when exposed to space itself. On the other hand, the lack of pressure can screw you up, so you probably shouldn't do this unless you know a lot more about space than I do.
