I made this track using just one piano VST as the base instrument, and all other effects and textures were made using it as the source material. For the first part, I roughly followed a "process" approach to the composition and started with a 4-note pattern and added one note each 2 beats. Gradually, as the notes pile up, reverb and delay are slowly introduced. I played all the notes in with MIDI myself and then corrected some mistakes in post.

For the second part, I took a more ambient music approach and gradually added more and more reverb, delay, and other effects and textures to a repeating motif. I slowly increased the velocity I struck the notes while playing, so it has some sort of build up which is complemented by the effects. By the end, it's practically just an ocean of notes and tones. As intended!

Hope you enjoy! And yeah, I know it's very long, but I was using hour long tracks as reference so in comparison I'd say it's ok.
