A lofi drone/noise piece for you, using techniques used by Brian Eno, along with a few tricks of my own.

Rafrænkassi is a compound Icelandic word for "Electric Box".

This piece was composed in supercollider (a musical programming language) using only the samples provided, with some effects and sequencing done in renoise.

Thanks, I am glad you like it! :D

Space Plagues are considered good (for me), in this context at least :S

EDIT: Btw, funfact! Because this song was made using phasing and algorithmic composition, this song would technically play indefinitely, only repeating itself every 10,000 years or so, and even then, still with variation because of variable effects involved... The only reason it is 8 minutes here is cause I don't have 10,000 years worth of audio storage, sadly, so I trimmed it, just a bit ;P

Just thought you all might be interested to know ^_^

Thank you very much! I was afraid this wouldn't be well received because it was neither very "chippy", nor very "traditional", anyways, but I am glad you are all liking it :D

It was a nice feeling for me to finish a piece that i myself like :)

curious, did you use the amen break in making this? i'm assuming just because i can't pick it out doesn't mean it's not in there ;)

xterm: Yes, indeed I did! The sine is layered and edited for use in the main drone, while bits of the break are used for adding texture and phasing to the drone and meleody. Low frequency noise is also introduced through heavily granulated amen breaks, layered upon each other. Hope that explains how the break is incorporated :)
