reuploaded to make the drums a bit louder, they were too quiet during some parts in the original mix

hi i'm still alive.
anyway here's something i've made, it's kinda like prog rock but also having some folk influences as well ig.... and also chiptune leads because of course.

i originally thought of making something closer to the folklore of my country, but trying to write something that in a way that's actually accurate + translating it to a DAW without it sounding too fake or weird is hard.
so i instead made this thing ig. i hope it's good enough

software i've used:
Renoise 3.4.4
Valhalla VintageVerb
Valhalla Delay
ISW Shreddage 3 (specifically Hydra & Precision)
Native Instruments Guitar Rig 7 Pro
Toontrack EZDrummer 3
Plogue sforzando
Arturia Mellotron V

101% agree with baxter here

this initially sounded like one of those fl piano roll vids where it's just full piano and holy fuck it's just as beautiful
then 2:17 comes...
absolutely gobsmacked lmao
then got doublesmacked with 2:47's lead

also square lead
nice

the part where both leads dance around each other is so lovely btw

top tier ending aswell

since i'm writing this pre vorting
you get a star: ⭐

I have never heard anything like this from you. Beautiful composition and instrumentation with top notch changeups. Love that synth lead at 3:35 and the atmosphere swelling around it. The ending is a great reprise, as well.

I do think the transitions could have been a little cleaner with the mixing on the drums, but that's nitpicking. Thanks for sharing, Snug :)
