I thought I'd try something a bit different today.

Here are the lyrics to the poem I've written:

Stuck in a pandemic
Tests me to the limit
Thought it was a gimmick
Until people got hit with it.

I try to kill some time
And mess around online
But often times I find
It doesn't ease my mind.

Social media is greedy,
Depleting us of sanity
Cuz' wall of text do not reflect
The depth of our humanity
Likes and tweets make us compete
For crumbs of empty vanity
Now we're left socially inept
A modern human tragedy...

Still in this pandemic
Scares me to the limit
Guess it's not a gimmick
Because my friends got hit with it.
But...

It's not too late to change our fate
Put our minds in a new state
Now is not the time for hate
It's time we cooperate.

So please don't be offended
It's not what I intended
I just want this madness ended
So that our world can be mended.
So...

Despite this pandemic
We're breaking through our limits
We're running to the finish
Because I think we can win this!
