Bamboo Tracker!
Tried the YM2608 (no hihat, tom, rimshot or ADPCM channel) for the first time
its a nice chip

...same can't be said for the tracker itself
my biggest gripe with it is comes down to orders really
You can't:
-Increase or decrease a singular channel's order (you can't even do that, you can only use insert)
- Moving one pattern is really tedious

There's also more minor stuff but i cant be bothered to name them rn

Not a bad tracker, not a good one either (imo)

mm i do agree that managing the order list is a pain in bamboo, though i'd defend its honor as a good tracker despite that (and my own grievances about the macro editors lol). i didn't realize you couldn't change individual channel order numbers, that's wild. i never write like that, but i imagine that being really frustrating for anyone who does. what is the point of dividing them out into channels if that's the case...

anyway this is a fun groove, it makes me want to do some puzzling! swapping some tiles or blocks around!

I also found the order list to be the most frustrating thing about bambootracker, the best way I found to manage it is copy & paste & clone.
So for example if you want to clone 4 orders,
1. Duplicate the last order 4 times (Ctrl+D)
2. Use the mouse to drag select all the patterns in the 4 orders you want to duplicate
3. Copy (Ctrl+C)
4. Use the mouse to drag select the new orders you just made
5. Paste (Ctrl+V)
6. Clone Patterns (Alt+D)
Still a bit clunky but easier than trying to move orders up and down one at a time via the right-click menu.

Anyway, I like how the bass and snare kinda match up in terms of every time the bass hits a high note the snare hits too, makes it very punchy. Fun tune!
