vocals, keys and other unintentional sounds recorded live in one take off my phone, pitched down two semitones with reverb/eq/delay added in post.

kinda behind on schoolwork, so i didn't plan on joining advent until next week, but i really want a liveplay badge and i like the prompt, so i figured i could do something quick for today...although i spent longer on this than i meant to lol.

anyway, the prompt made me consider how easily the mind can make up sounds, and easily derive patterns from sounds that evidently aren't there on closer inspection. with that in mind, i tried to use patterns that sounded busier than they are (although i admittedly do this a lot with keyboard stuff), and the "lyrics" i sung are half made up words, half muttered phrases, fully nonsense. then i further obfuscated the recording with reverb and delay. (i also pitched it down a bit, although i just did that because i thought it sounded neat)

not sure if this actually caused the mental effect i was chasing after, but i still quite like it.
