I know this isn't funk, I can't compose funk and I'm pretty new to composing, however I feel that I have to put up something. I've tried several times to compose funk but I've alwasy failed.

Interesting melodies and instrument choices. The main suggestion I would make is to lower the volume of the lead synth a bit and add some vibrato at certain parts to add color. Keep it up!

First tip- no long pads. The funk lies in the spaces between short notes and the counterpoint of their rhythms.
