Sega Genesis orchestral piece I made in 2016, mostly with VOPM on FL Studio. The non-synth drums ran through VGM Music Maker so that they'd have a hardware-authentic Genesis sound.

Inspired by film composer Basil Poledouris.

This was meant to be the main theme for a game, but the director changed his mind on what kind of music he wanted. I think it aged well, though. So, here it is.

this has me wondering about if there are any good tactics rpgs for the genesis. nice arranging!

director missed out, and there's lots of good potential to pull from this as "a main theme" to do other related music

This sounds awesome, sounds really rocket knight inspired!

I believe VOPM was 2151, but you could actually swap out the vst with something like FMDrive for a more authentic 2612 sound. 2151 is a lot brighter, which is great for your top end instruments. The low end is nicer on the 2612 tho fasho.

Wonderful track, thanks for sharing on BotB! That director should have found a place for this, their loss.
