It's my first ever tic80 game. I didn't expect it to go THIS well.

Description: you shoot enemies and stop time. there are three death animations.

Controls: Z to shoot and X to timestop

Very fun little game! I like how you don't immediately die when you touch an enemy, the "impending death" animation is a great idea. I like all the death animations too. The time stop mechanic is really fun and well implemented.

Fun idea, as I always love a mechanic that has risk vs. reward. The visuals are really nicely done as well! Considering that you can only shoot in the direction of your movement (which I do like), I think would have been cool to move/shoot diagonally too, but otherwise, nicely done! (high score: agargara's - 2)

I could see adding a tiny bit of variety - palette swapped or slightly bigger or slighty tweaked sprites for different enemy difficulties, with increasing chance to spawn an 'improved' enemy over time / with score increase - a little brownian motion in how enemies move while tracking you might help them stop lumping up along XY lines too.

all in all a nice complete experience, I feel like I would've wasted way too much time playing this on a graphing calculator in math class back in the day.

for a first game, this has a stupidly high amount of polish
that roblox coding paid off
gameplay is fun
aiming is a bit difficult but its nice enough and im fine with it
the idea of stopping time to make a 'bullet cannon' is really fun
it does start to become a little bit challenging after a score of 40+, but thats probably me just being bad at it, hehe
visuals are sweet
music is very nice

got a high score of 162

also while im here, was scrolling through the sprites (which look a bit ...suspicious) and I'd thought I would mention this
if you wanna draw smth again but with a different color (such as a certain title screen), then you can use poke4 to edit what tic80 will draw when it reads a certain color between 0x3ff0 and 0x3ff7 (using 4 bytes since 16 colors which is 4 bytes)
what i mean:palette map

just thought u should know that

THAT DEATH SCREEN IS SO COOL OH MY GOSH okay back to playing

this is a rlly good concept!! i like how its manageable at first without stopping time ever but then you need to rely on it more and more. if i have a nitpick is that its hard to tell what direction youre facing sometimes
