Two things...

After downloading this ROM and comparing it to the original 3 bytes have a higher value than their original counterpart.

174bc: $c2 has become $c3
344bc: $00 has become $01
394bc: $de has become $df

I haven't looked to see where this is or what it might be impacting but the ROM for download does not match what I uploaded.

In addition, the MP3 has a glitch that does not exist in the original mp3 I uploaded

Should I have used zmodem?

174BC is a very minor hiccup in the sample data (it's borderline unnoticeable). The other two don't affect the music.

The other two are in image data. $344bc glitches out the bottom of the screen while displaying a mode 3 image and $394bc is less noticeable.

Still, weird that these glitches would happen at all and interesting that they are only at offset $0c.

Re-upped the mp3 and it has the same checksum so I may re-up the rom and see if it also uploads without errors.

Re-upped the ROM and the checksum is good so the aforementioned issues are issues no longer.

The BRR sample data is corrected as well as irrelevant graphics data that are of no concern to this battle.

Agreed about the graphics; however, I believe the ROM available for download should match the checksum of what was uploaded.

It also seemed worth checking if a new uploaded file would be correct or would have glitches at any point in the ROM. I still don't know why the original file had those errors.

It would be interesting to know if anyone else has uploaded something here where the checksum didn't match the original file.
