i hesitated a LOT submitting this..
this song is very different from what i usually make. first of all, it has lyrics. and its my first time writing those. ever. i have pretty much no knowledge when it comes to lyrics or writing in general, its really just not my thing. therefore i genuinely cannot tell whether or not the song is good.
and also you mightve noticed that im using pulse modulations for lyrics. its also my first time doing those obviously. i think they turned out somewhat alright.
well, even if it sucks, theres gotta be someone who might like it. i think...

the music aspect of this is extremely solid, no complaints at all. but i wasn't really able to follow along with the lyrics. the melodies themselves feel very singable! which is a big part of the battle! but you want to be thinking about accents and contour; at least in english we have stressed syllables, and we have strings of sounds that are easier or harder to say quickly, and so when writing lyrics you should think about where those are going to fall in your melody (assuming you wrote that first), tying stressed syllables to rhythmic accents, being really careful with fast notes... sometimes it means nice lyric ideas don't really work, or maybe you can re-mould the song to make them work if you want, but you may have to return to the drawing board (write it down and save it for later!). imo awkward accents and too-fast runs of words are the biggest percentage of issues with lyric writing. when in doubt, sing to yourself and listen carefully to what's difficult, what isn't flowing right, etc. it should feel natural! to me it's like a puzzle. i'm not a stellar lyric writer myself, it doesn't come super naturally to me. voice is something that requires detail and care but i'm confident you'll get it down with practice and time!

I've never attempted any sort of lyric-writing (I'm a terrible vocalist) for chiptune songs, but this really makes me inspired to try it out!
I think the lead "voice" here sounds quite charming, and I was able to follow along with certain parts.
