GEMS presets are unchanged, just played at extreme octaves to get those wild FM soundz.

GEMS KICK DRUM PATCHES SHOUTOUTS
083 Glockenspiel -- the BEST kick drum
077 Timpani -- juicy round sound. second best
090 808 Kick -- the OG
089 hi tom -- nice buzzzz
087 low tom -- techy. simple but good. used this for the breakdown
092 thumpKick -- very sharp attack. use responsibly
070 Rap Bass -- kick and bass all in one
062 Psychedelic Guitar -- bubbly

Recorded with VGMPlay 0.40.9, Nuked OPN2, ASIC YM3438

* I actually had to use two channels switching off with each other because of issues with operators not resetting properly. However, only one channel should be making sound at any time. It could probably be cut down to actually one channel if I used something with more granular control than Furnace.

Furnace does have the 30xx effect. Unfortunately, that effect doesn't work in .vgm exports and the developers don't want to fix that as far as I know.

This is pretty interesting sounding though

@Autumn Brushtail
thanks! I did experiment with 30xx, both 3000 and 3001 settings, but even that seemed inconsistent even before vgm export. So the problem is some instruments seem to produce a kind of DC offset spike, or "click" when changing to a new instrument. The best "fix" I found for this is to play a different instrument at 0 volume before the new instrument starts. Which instrument works for this changes depending on the previous instrument, not exactly sure why, maybe something to do with which algorithm it's using. I just used trial and error to find which ones worked. I imagine with MML you could do something like that ~1ms before the new instrument, in order to squeeze it into a single channel.

Sounds like the dust that's left over after the gems have been cut. Basically perfect.
