This is Frost, Fright and Fairies, to be part of my Lux Environment series, which musically explores settings that are very often found in video games.
This particular tune has a bit of a story to it, that I will try to aid through the DEGAS cover art, but I won't have time to make that before the deadline of this contest. Here's the gist: there's a guy gaily walking through the snow on a lake. However, the ice turns out to be not as strong as he had judged. It starts cracking, and he panics. Then he cracks through the ice. The guy might die, but then a fairy saves him. He triumphantly continues over the lake, to his home, and sits back. ... and then he goes back to the lake and the story begins all over again, because this tune loops.

I am submitting this to the Winter Chip because someone recommended joining it to me, and as I was planning to create a snow-themed composition I thought it'd fit a 'Winter' Chip. I am aware that the use of DMA channels is controversial, so we'll see how this goes.

The samples I used are not self-made, but I did check if I was allowed to use them.
All other instruments were made for this composition, with MaxYMiser.

I rendered the MP3 with Hatari. I let the tune play once wholly and then a bit more. One measure into the second loop a fade out begins, which lasts for 4 measures.
