It's a good song and good vocal, it may just be a matter of breathing properly while you sing.

I had finished arranging the track approximately right before I fell asleep at 4 in the morning, and I started and finished recording from approximately 11:30 to 12:15, spending the time between those points sleeping.

I basically had close-to-zero familiarity with the material I was singing, which probably contributed to unrefined breathing techniques. Not knowing ones material does this, as I am duly familiar with due to having been singing for years.

It also doesn't help that I didn't warm up or drink any water before recording, but I didn't have time to do that if I wanted to get this done before it was too late. Had I started earlier I would have probably spent more time getting to know what to do when singing this, as I do with all other things that I want to learn to sing.

Good vocal, all words are clearly recognisible and sounds nice contrasting with metal.
