I'm surprised this won - in fact, I'm surprised it placed top-3 at all really - considering a) I started working on this with 28 minutes left on the clock, and b) this entry has my name written all over it, therefore I half-expected votes to have been biased against it. I feel kinda bad because the rest of the entries were really good compared to this..!
My arriving late to the party kind of shows if you pay attention to the lack of variety in percussion throughout the whole tune. :p
I wanted to have a second, contrasting section after the main theme, but I ran out of time unfortunately (in fact, I barely had enough at all to add the final four patterns; my first submission looped right back to the beginning straight after the 4th degree section).
