if not obvious, munch.py was used to crunch the instrument headers, so if listening the .it file, either use Open MPT or Xmplay with the fixed xmplay.exe downloaded from here: http://www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exe. SchismTracker should be ok as well. With other player options some of the instruments will not be audible or the file may not play at all.

Be careful what you wish for... the worst that can happen is that you betray the original Impulse Tracker. I don't think it happened this time, but beware...

It's basically the same with bunch of chipformats - use the wrong players and the songs will end up more or less broken. Here's the non-munched version: http://armagon.org/mods/warlord/2012/Warlord%20-%20Cryosleep%20(non-munched).zip - it's not _that_ much over the limit, could have possibly worked it down to 8kb without non-munching. I've done that before, but the munch.py treatment saved me an extra headache this time around. .it files tend to have quite a lot of "overhead" when using instruments and not just plain samples.

I myself don't bother with trying to make something on the original Impulse Tracker due to my own computer's not-so-good performance with DOSBox, but I do test playback there if I ran into technical difficulties with more modern players on my end (there was one on here that I ran into that problem with Schism Tracker on one of the notes sticking: testing it on the original told me it was not supposed to stick).

I guess the original Impulse Tracker qualifies as a correct player, despite the lack of a proper ability to edit it thanks to the way it is loaded. Schism Tracker on a technicality also works fine, since playback didn't completely fall apart. Score one for inventing some sort of an anti-editing security measure in the process...
