something to keep in mind for the XHBs (such as this one) is that each one has:
1) an associated 'format' listed on the page - in this case it was 'classic DOS module' which required submitting an old tracker file; there will be a link listed there too for "read lyceum article" which is like our wiki. you can find out about how to do the format there, what filetypes are allowed, etc.
2) a given prompt, called a "bit pack", and in this case it was a pack of provided samples that you had to use

so, unfortunately this wasn't quite a legal submission for the battle, lol, hence being downvoted. .wav is actually never allowed, but in a few formats, .mp3 is (specifically allgear, wildchip, fakebit, remix, and vocal)

Yeah, I know it sounds like garbage. Stupid Famitracker did not have a easy choice for mp3 soo..... That had to be wav.

it's just that this battle didn't allow you to use famitracker, it was for .it modules (or .xm, .s3m, .mod), and there was a sample pack you had to use instead of any other sounds

so keep an eye out for what the format is, it'll tell you what kinds of files you can actually send in!

Then what app uses .it files then?
