heya! welcome to the battle!
something to keep in mind for the XHBs (such as this one) is that each one has:
1) an associated 'format' listed on the page - in this case it was 'classic DOS module' which required submitting an old tracker file; there will be a link listed there too for "read lyceum article" which is like our wiki. you can find out about how to do the format there, what filetypes are allowed, etc.
2) a given prompt, called a "bit pack", and in this case it was a pack of provided samples that you had to use
so, unfortunately this wasn't quite a legal submission for the battle, lol, hence being downvoted. .wav is actually never allowed, but in a few formats, .mp3 is (specifically allgear, wildchip, fakebit, remix, and vocal)
i know the site is kind of confusing at first, but feel free to take a look at the Lyceum linked up top, or visit our chats if you have questions, need help, etc
