interesting style, i haven't looked at the module yet but you could use the compressor to limit the volume, as well as eq/filters to shape the volume based on frequency.

@tennisers I'm using trackerbound's maximizer, which is what is causing the loudness and the intermittant clipping. It doesn't do that in TB's tracks, though, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
As for the bass being too loud, I'm at my wit's end. The resubmitted file sounds okay to me, is that just because I'm using cheap headphones? Is there a way to tell a frequency range is too loud without just listening to it? I get that spectrum analyzers are a thing, but I've tried to make music before that was equal loudness across the spectrum and it sounded awful.

i guess it's just a headphone thing. i am also using cheaper ones and the bass sounds alright to me.
