Right off the bat: I know this will probably never be a battle, and I know there are problems with the idea,
But I thought a Botb film festival was just too cool of an idea!
You would submit a small compressed .mov or .mp4 file (possibly zipped) of a short film as the entry! Use a frame from the video as a render.
Only rules would be to keep the content rated G for general audiences, and to not make anything derogatory, etc.
Open to any medium including animation, stop motion, live-action etc.

In the description entrants could link to a higher resolution upload on a site like Youtube.
