Imagining a hideout / community space behind that door. Within, people making cool art using arcane technologies. The doorbell would definitely make a funny, bleepy noise.

Hand-drawn using Pixaki, my main technical focus for this was the lighting and shadows; an area I've been struggling to get right. I had to redo the doorway shade a number of times before it looked relatively accurate— realized that it often looks a lot more clean when dithering is used somewhat sparingly.

PS.
For those who might not know this– when viewed directly (as in, outside of a website) browsers always butcher pixel artwork even at 1x. There are several ways to mitigate this, if you search for "deblur bookmarklet" and your respective browser or check out IMGXIS on itch.io :-)
