Tell ya, it feels hard to write good melodies in PxTone, but I can sure try to make a groove.

(thanks to the advent crew for using some of my samples!)

When the guy said "now listen" you better believe I did. The squeaky "soul vocal" sample really adds to it. love this

to be honest i thought that was a pretty nice melody there. there's ways to shape the sound more, like using pxtone's weird-and-powerful portamento feature, but it didn't even need that, it's a solid tune with character

thanks for sending in samples! :D you'll see more of them later... perhaps...!!

Loved these squeaky riffs too! It was also a pleasure to hear a clarinet solo, it had good developments :D

I agree with you about PxTone melodies. The lack of outlining within the grid can make clicking in the right spaces a little bit too thought-intensive. The flipside is that the misclick chaos really lends itself to interesting grooves when you're not worrying about pitch.
