ho boy that's a lot of orch hits ahhhhh
I feel like you could take that little flute lick that comes in at 1:11 and run with it, build a whole song around that - maybe 'cause it reminds me of Sweet Lullaby by Deep Forest?
I think in general, for industrial, you're in the right realm in terms of synth instruments, because there's definitely a lot of commonality between industrial and synthpop, but - I think you're gonna want to lean more into the gritty noisy end of things, more crackle and hiss and clang and crash smash type sounds. What you've got here is very sparse and kind of tentative-sounding, whereas industrial tends to be more aggressive and heavy-hitting - not necessarily 'lush', and there is definitely a place for sparser instrumentation in industrial pieces, but there's a sort of fuller sound I'd be looking for.
Less 'drum machine' and more plain old 'machinery' you know? 😉
