it's true, we were crunching so hard these last few hours (there's like a few mistakes in the mixing because of it ;w;). but i just couldn't let her release a half-baked track :p

anyways i'm so so proud of what we achieved here (even if it's still a bit jank in places :p)! maple has such an unique style to her tracks, idk if there's anyone else out there who does it like her (though i don't listen to that much EDM admittedly). the kot drop made my jaw drop when i first heard it - and fun fact, a part of it was transcribed from a voice memo that maple made. idk how he figured it out, but he totally nailed it, and added his own flourishes as well! i was just there for... emotional support. occasionally maple would just send the track to me, and i'd make some half-baked edits, and she'd revert like half of them but there is some stuff that stuck around LOL

honestly this track got me to actually learn how to make use of jummbox for real :D

i initially struggled a lot because i didn't know about modulators and thought you could only use the presets, but then when maple showed me it was like... "holy shit... this is powerful..." and then proceeded to help out with the track however i could

what uart mentioned is true! i actually transcribed the entire solo of mine off some voice clip maple sent me. honestly i kinda just listened to it over and over and then extrapolated whatever i could from it

honestly i'm kind of compelled to do more jummboxe in the future (though most likely outside of botb since a friend of mine who's also on the same project maple and i are on also uses jummbox and i kinda wanna do more collab work with them)

all in all this was a really awesome collab

hell yeah, love the sound design in this track!
especially that deep-as-the-ocean kick, and I'm impressed how y'all basically recreated the amen snare without samples o__O

(of course it was based on a placeholder pattern that maple had put prior to me doing drum design)
