A Starboard Wave
Took me waaay to long to finish this, but I'm proud of how it turned out! It originally started as an OHB entry I made in half an hour (see sodapop(resubmit).nsf), but the melody was too catchy for me to not do more with it. Recording and mixing/mastering is still a big challenge for me, so I'll appreciate any advice and/or criticism about how I can improve the quality.
Instrumentation:
Gameboy DMG running LSDJ + Accordion + Mandolin + a bit of Moog Grandmother Synth at the end
(this could've been a liveplay submission but my other entry had more live instruments)

i like that the mandolin and accordion hang back a fair bit but then periodically shine through the mix like the sun or something, but i think they get buried enough at points where i was missing them. just a liiitttle bit of compression or maybe a re-take of those particular parts wouldve helped there i think!
as for the rest of the track, its fkn fantastic omg. absolute earworm, and the mix of instruments youve got going here is so tasteful. i want to hear more of this kind of multi-instrumental menagerie!!!

Whoa, absolutely amazing!!! Love this kind of folktronica stuff! All these sounds fit together perfectly and the tune is incredibly catchy! Also love how the clickity-clacks of the accordion add another layer of percussion (kind of sounds like a game controller with the chip sounds).
