it was interesting rendering a piece with a deliberate noise drone - i listened for the first time while recording on hardware and thought something was up with my cables' connections!

i like this one a lot. it's utterly glacial, but the ambience is all-consuming. your methods of playing around with samples are always unique and inspiring to me!

That's because I took the actual backrooms ambience (from what I found) to run throughout the entire song, though naturally severely cut down so that only the hum is used. And I took full advantage of utilizing a zero EDL and FIR coefficients to get a hi-pass-esque effect and a more VHS-like (or should we say audio cassette-like... or CRT-like? in this case) quality to it.

The hum sounds more ethereal as the other elements progress over it. Really cool well done piece, sounds like it would be perfect for cinema.
