Forgive the juvenile humor, please?

Rambley aside - I remember when Cave Story's unofficial (and I think later first official) English translation was first released by Aeon Genesis and I was curious to try it out. A freeware game with cute graphics and a humorous story with a fun soundtrack made by a single programmer/artist over the course of five years? It intrigued me and I had a lot more time then because I was ignoring most of my college assignments. Finding out it came with its own music editor was absolutely mind blowing. I'm FAIRLY certain it was a little different compared to what we have today and I never really made anything of note with it when I first tried. I'd like to explore this tool some more but I'm pressed for time ATM so I tried what I could after figuring out the trouble with compressed vs uncompressed WAVs. The one notable sample is definitely me blowing raspberries into my headphone mic and there were multiple MULTIPLE takes! 😅

We love juvenile humor, no need to forgive.

In regards to some things in your aside, the music editor that may have been included was a different program called OrgMaker. It would eventually be succeeded by PxTone. As for the issue with WAVs, were the wavs you were having trouble with 16 bit or 24 bit? I think thats typically where the issue lies (but I could be wrong). If you're not sure, you can also use samples in the OGG format, though I don't know if they have their own issues (none as far as I know, but again, I could be wrong)

Ah ORG Maker sounds familiar! IIRC it also included the entire soundtrack to play as well

The initial sample was 32 bit. The version that was accepted was 8 bit although, trying to play the original version, I noticed my media players aren't playing it. Maybe it was a corrupted save file
