The beer is skunked, the conversation is a motley cobweb of idealism mixed with misguided acts of defiance, and the opening band, Richard Sh** and the Sh**d**ks, has announced their presence by cursing at strangers and kicking a hole through the bathroom door.
They get around to their first song and, well, it's about what you'd expect: the bassist starts playing a semitone off until he realizes it and flubs up to adjust; the stage left guitarist can't keep up with beat, so it sounds like there's phasing problems; and the vocalist is doing...whatever it is they do.
