We're trying something different again. Sorry to all Mac/*NIX users but this one seems windows only. Mayhaps I'll be working on the site, allowing source file attachments to the mp3 uploads.

Favorites are back. So those of you who missed Favorites during Winter Chip 4 and Scobey Core can go back and be properly proper. Mayhaps someday you'll be able to edit them! ;D/

The rules are a bit vague on that one; no samples is clear, but what about other plugins? probably no other instrument plugins i guess, what about effects though? allowed or not allowed?

You can only use the VSTi provided as a sound generator. Use all the effects you want on top of that.

I'm a noob since I can't get it to work on audacity (phew!) 1.3beta. Oh well.

audacity is an audio editor; the medusa vst plugin is an instrument plugin, not an effect plugin, you need a sequencer or something similar(like a tracker with vst support) to be able to use it

I think the unregeistered version of Renoise is both free and supports VSTi. =D/

you can use reason as a midi-in with ableton, not that's its necessary for what im going to do anyway, but still kind of nice.

i dont think you can use reason's midi with ableton...

Not that I know how, because I'd just use windows anyway, but there's nothing stopping a non-windows person from entering using the VSTi in emulation; it's very lightweight, I'm sure it'd work fine.

excuse my n00bmanity, but what about an effects plugin that triggers built-in samples? I won't use any for now, but if its allowed then i'll incorporate one :P (mda BeatBox VST effect plugin (3 samples triggered by incoming audio in 3 frequencies))
it sounds like cheating to me, but it is an "effect" per se...
lol sorry to bother ;P

If you enjoyed working with Medusa, she's just got a facelift. Get the new version here:
