Would be nice to be able to see your XP count and progress to the next level numerically like RPGs. It could be added to the right most part of the bar. Ex: 14912/39129 Numbers are sexy.

Also some settings that let people optionally receive email or twatter alerts about people posting on their profile wall is essential.

twatturd isn't a high priority for me -- or one at all. i just know others use it. i'm still an "e-mail" user. ;D

A trouble-spot about hover-overs is that you can't see them on mobile devices. I check BotB regularly-ish on my phone and the "XP to Next Level" bit is effectively invisible for me.

i didnt even know you could see the remaining xp to the next level by hovering the xp bar until someone said so on the irc yesterday or the day before

an alert for wall messages would indeed be nice. email is fine, or even a little exclamation point by your name at the top or something.
