On battleofthebits.com the recent postings seem to be randomly linking to either .org or .com, which is very strange. On battleofthebits.com it seems to stick consistently with .com though.

Also this thread doesn't appear to have made it to recent postings? That's a little odd...

Oh wait, there it goes with this bump. :S Maybe it's because the bump came from .com and not .org???

I think it depends on which domain the BotBr who "posts" the update is using?

Yes, so currently the .com is a soft link to the .org directory. I only discovered a few weeks ago that this allows you to browse the .com just like it's another parallel dimension with the same data. This is also bad for our google hit ranks. The fix for this is replacing the soft link with an actual directory that forces all requests to the .org site.

I've been guilty of randomly logging in to one or the other. I'll have to stop doing this since I now know that it actually matters!

The new weird behavior might actually stem from the caching I've been implementing today. Pretty soon the .com will not be accessible. I don't think it actually affects anything badly. Just that you are not logged in to both when you log in to one might wind up confusing.

Just get another browser. You probably have an IE you're not using.
