Thanks all for coming out!

Big ups to the Earlofbandwidth (winner of Ann Arbor 3)
for donating most to the cause.

The $$$ will be divided between the top 3 overall winners.

Thanks to all who came in person and got down.

Thanks to all the competitors.. especially all the internationals.

Thanks to Baron Knoxbury, DaFus, and Bustoucher/SystemofAdon for spinning awesome sets.

Thanks to from the "FromtheGut" crew (matt, heather, josh, jonah and the rest) for letting us throw down at their magnificent loft for the 2nd year.

and the biggest ups to Puke7 who has spilt his blood, sweat, and semen... er, I mean tears, to build the BotB site. There are not words to express the appreciation that I (and all the BotB playas) have for all his hard work.

If I have forgotten anyone or anything, let me know.

Also please post any ideas, suggestions, comments, or whatever that might make the BotB even better.

I wish to echo blank's comments. This website is very well constructed and seems to be attracting a community that extends beyond SE MI. I all letting some friends on the Left Coast know about future events. Thanks to you all.

Had alot of fun!!!
And the Isaac S. Bowers is the original KnightRider bit was instead of the Ron Reagan mask I left at Blanks. Pretty much DaFus's best improv work yet, soley supported by an article written for Firteen.
Everyone was great!!!!! Even vickie.

it would be awesome to do a 1-sample competition where the original sample is truely only one sample instead of a drum loop or something like that. that would be way ultra super megafun!

i know sweetheart, but you gotta put yourself up to ridiculous challenges to get better.

when i first started actually making songs seriously i was using no sequencer, no drum machine, nothing. all i had was cool edit '96 (!) and i would do the songs by cutting the waves in one channel and pasting them so they sounded on beat. cool edit 96 is like the cep (now called adobe audition) wav editor section without different tracks and way less effects if i remember correctly.
now i'm to the point where every song requires the making of at the very least 300 new samples and every instrument is reliant on other instruments for its parameters. a big mess network of malignant tumors making sound.
and the way to making this big mess is thru trying impossible things and getting them to somehow work. don't mean to be conceited, but if i heard what i'm doing now five years ago i would have shit my pants in terror and wonder. trial, error, and experimentation are your best friend. and completely disregarding proper mixing and equipment setup doesn't hurt either.

at least a mini-competition of some kind with 1 sample would be way fun.

thats good man, its cool to hear that somebody started out with Ce96 because thats how i first made music in highschool. i have mad respect for your style so thats all gravy, i'm a different type of artist though, i sing and make a different type of electronic music, and its cool that there's sucha variance in electronic music. you hsould lemme/us hear more of your stuff. do you make dark shit>? http://www.myspace.com/jdsy11111

also, it would be excting to try and make a track with one sample... what if you only had a sine wave? that could get crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, like, one cycle of a sine wave, 440 an shit

oh you should let me email you some tracks or something

i thought of making everyone work from just the amen break but a single wave could be incredible...

i'd like to run some kind of competition every single month -- perhaps a year from now the code will be much more self-replicating -- many ideas ahead!

consupermizo - thanx for the words
aclone - are you still bitter about losing that bet?
