for future listeners - people sent me wav files privately, i made a dummy xm file where the samples had the titles from the filenames of the wavs, but each sample in the xm was a dummy sample - a short sine tone. people tracked with this and submitted. after the time was up, i replaced the samples in their files with the respective samples they had sent earlier, and uploaded. we sync-listened this and voted. the songs have been rendered with the correct samples replaced, which is why they do not match the modules. listen to the mp3 renders to get a proper idea of how the ohc was supposed to sound.

So everyone tracked using sine waves but knowing their samples would be replaced? I'm not sure I fully understand what happened here.

Hey does anyone have the modified mods pack? We should upload it to @BotB and link it here for posterity.
