it's more like this - there's events that are entirely user run. You follow the bitpack (which is the specific rules for the event) except if it's a major. Majors are long running battles that will probably have multiple different formats and last longer. It's not a site to post your latest stuff, it's more like a site to help people get good with thinking on their feet and making new art on the spot with a restriction, whether it be a specific format, a specific theme. The more involved and participate, the more you earn points (Boons) so that you can unlock more features on the site. The FAQ explains it better but this is a quick summary.
