HI!!!! it;s been a long time,,,

but when i saw that the gba format finally exists, i knew i had to work on something. so i did start something, which i will be intentionally avoiding talking about because i have no idea if i can finish my idea in time xP

OK SO HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT THINGS I HAVE LEARNED. I learned these through Trial And Error:
1. maxmod rounds tempo values up to the next multiple of 4. This was true when I was using .s3m, and remained true when I switched to an .it module. luckily, if you're using loops, timestretching this small of a difference is not noticeable in most cases
2. when playing .it modules, maxmod uses "old effects" behavior.
3. maxmod automatically removes duplicate samples when compiling the soundbank.
4. when a cut note receives a volume slide, maxmod will start increasing the volume from 0.
5. .s3m modules have weird rounding for sample frequencies. .it is more accurate

there are probably more oddities like this but these are just some of the ones i've found

sorry for my absence or something i just needed a break from botb!! though I wouldn't count on this as being my return just yet...

Nice! Might be worth adding your findings to the discussion section of the lyceum article.

Edit: adding link because I wasn’t aware these pages existed until recently https://battleofthebits.com/lyceum/Discussion/Maxmod/
